Eligibility
The National Team Australia will be formed based on their ranking, their expertise in specific breed conformation grooming, and their alignment with DA's core values. Additionally, they must have no conflicts of interest with DA Canine Grooming sponsors or any affiliates of DA member bodies. Four representatives are to be chosen and the Team's composition is to be determined by the DA National Committee to compete in international events (including international events held in Australia).
Each team member must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Residency:​

Must be an Australian citizen.

Membership:

Must be a current member of a Dogs Australia Member Body.

Must remain in ‘good standing’ with Dogs Australia member Body, adhering to DA's Code of Conduct throughout the qualifying period and competition.

Competition Level:

Must compete at Level A+ or A in Dogs Australia-sanctioned grooming competitions.

Geographical Participation:

Must have competed and earned points in at least two different States or Territories within Australia.

Rising Star eligibility criteria

The Rising Star will have the opportunity to travel with the National Grooming Team to the FCI World Grooming Championship. To be eligible to join the National Team, the young groomer must meet the following requirements:

Experience: Must not have more than 48 months of grooming experience during the qualifying period.

Residency: Must be an Australian citizen.

Membership: Must be a member of a Dogs Australia Member Body and maintain a positive relationship with Dogs Australia member Body.

Geographical Participation: Must have competed in at least two different States or Territories.

Category Participation: Must compete in a minimum of two out of four sanctioned categories from Dogs Australia-sanctioned shows.
