Linda has over 50 years of experience in the grooming industry, having successfully run three grooming salons across South Australia and Canberra. She began her career in Millicent, SA, expanded her business to Adelaide, and later moved to Canberra, where she operated a thriving grooming and pet care shop. Linda is highly skilled in hand-stripping breeds like Cockers and Jack Russells and is renowned for her meticulous attention to detail, especially in grooming feet. Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication have earned her great respect in the grooming community. In addition to her grooming expertise, Linda has been a licensed ALL Breeds conformation judge since 2002
My CV
Over the last 50 years I have owned and worked hard in my 3 grooming salons.
The first was a little shop in Millicent SA when I started grooming to help support my children and taught myself grooming from the Hilary Harmer book of grooming.
The next was a pet shop that we purchased when we moved to Adelaide and I promptly turned half of it into a very successful grooming business that was sold before we moved.

The next was a pet shop that we purchased when we moved to Adelaide and I promptly turned half of it into a very successful grooming business that was sold before we moved.Then when we moved to Canberra in 1988, I had several none dog jobs but in 1997 when we became the ACT branch of Dogtainers we rented a large shop in Kippax Shopping Centre (Hair of the Dog) and Dogtainers business worked out of the front half of the shop with a small pet care and accessories business while we ran grooming from the back half. This business was very successful and I was very proud of what we accomplished.
Before I started working for Dogs ACT I also went back into grooming at Isabel’s Grooming, one of our best grooming salons in Canberra for a few months.
My Cockers were always hand stripped as were my Jack Russells. I’ve also been very involved with American Cockers (my Mother’s breed) and my daughter Melanie reminded me last night I had mastered their feet exceptionally well. I am meticulous with my grooming especially feet.
