The Canine Groomer Designations program aims to identify and recognize top canine groomers across Australia, awarding prestigious titles that reflect their exceptional skills and talents. Our ultimate goal is for the best canine groomers to achieve the esteemed designation of Supreme Master, evaluated by world-class judges.

The Canine Groomer Designation classification is as follows: 

A+ Champion Canine Groomer

To earn the A+ Champion Canine Groomer Designation, a groomer must successfully pass the Level A qualification in any of the sanctioned grooming groups. This title signifies the groomer's advanced skills and talents in their field..

​​​​​​​​​​​​AA+ Champion Canine  Groomer

To achieve the Double A+  Champion Canine Groomer Designation, a groomer must successfully pass Level A in any two of the four sanctioned groups, evaluated by different judges. This prestigious title reflects a high level of advanced skill and versatility across two grooming categories.

​​​Master Champion Canine  Groomer

To earn the Designation of Master Champion Canine Groomer, a groomer must:

  1. Pass Level A in three of the four sanctioned groups, with one of these groups being Poodle.

  2. Achieve this qualification in two different states or territories.

  3. Be assessed by two different judges.

  4. Obtain certifications from two different judges from overseas countries.

This comprehensive achievement demonstrates exceptional skill and versatility across various grooming standards and international recognition.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Supreme Master Champion Canine  Groomer

To attain the ultimate designation of Supreme Master Champion Canine Groomer, a groomer must meet the following criteria:

​​

  1. Pass Level A in all four sanctioned grooming groups.

  2. Poodle Show Trims: Pass two out of three recognised poodle show trims (Continental Trim, English Saddle Trim, or Scandinavian Trim), 

  3. Long-Legged Terrier Grooming: Pass Level A with one of the long-legged Terrier breeds (Airedale, Lakeland, Welsh, or Wire Fox Terriers), 

  4. Multistate Qualification: Be certified in at least two different Australian States or Territories, 

  5. International Judging: Be assessed by three different judges, including at least two from overseas.

To be eligible for and hold the above designation, continuous membership with a Dogs Australia Member Body is required. Members must maintain uninterrupted membership status throughout the period and at the time the award is bestowed.​​​​​​​
