With over 15 years of experience, May Wong has established herself as a leading figure in Australia’s dog grooming industry. Her expertise spans competitive grooming, where she has achieved numerous Best in Show awards with Poodles and American Cocker Spaniels.
May’s grooming skills cover a wide variety of breeds, including poodles, hand-stripped spaniels, wire-coated, and scissoring breeds. She has been recognized for her exceptional work with breeds such as Bichon Frise, Scottish Terriers, English Cocker Spaniels, Welsh Terriers, and West Highland White Terriers. In addition to her competitive grooming success, May excels in preparing dogs for conformation shows, working with Miniature Poodles, Toy Poodles, Welsh Terriers, American Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Bedlington Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, and Kerry Blue Terriers.

Her specialties include Miniature and Toy Poodles, Welsh Terriers, American and English Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Bedlington Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, and Kerry Blue Terriers. Notably, her Toy and Miniature Poodles and Welsh Terrier are not only Best in Show winners at All Breed Championship shows but have also earned the prestigious Supreme Champion title from Dogs Australia.
In 2023, May was appointed Chairperson of the Dogs Australia Canine Grooming Committee, where she has since implemented significant initiatives to elevate the standards and skills of canine groomers nationwide. She also serves on the FCI Technical Committee, aiming to make a broader impact across the grooming community in over 100 FCI member countries.
May is an accredited grooming judge for both Dogs Australia and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), holding the license number AU862. She has judged in New Zealand, China, and is slated to judge at the IMPACT Thailand International Show in June 2025 and the FCI Malaysia World Team Championship show.
